Wooten is admitted to the bars of the State of NJ bar as well as the US District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of NY and all District Courts in NJ. She is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School and served on the Moot Court Honour Society. Miss Wooten has experience representing clients regarding violations of the fair housing act; discrimination based on age, race, gender, religion, national origin and disability. She has also represents clients in chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcies; employment contract disputes; whistle blowing and other unfair labour practices. While attending law school Miss Wooten worked at the NYS Department of Labour's Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board; Brooklyn Law School's Law Library; and interned with the Civil Division of the US Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of NY. She has taught constitutional and criminal law as an adjunct professor at John Jay College and the College of New Rochelle. Miss Wooten also briefly worked as a Pool Attorney for the NJ State Public Defender's Office and an Assistant District Attorney for the Queen's District Attorney's Office. Miss Wooten is a board member of the Coalition of Concerned Legal Professionals, a not-for-profit organization designed to provide pro bono assistance to urban communities. Miss Wooten is also a member of the American Bar Association. Of Counsel attorney F. Richard Hurley is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School. Mr. Hurley is admitted to the NYS, DC, SDNY and EDNY bars. Mr. Hurley worked as a prosecutor in Queens County from 1990-to 1994, where he handled homicides from arrest to conviction. Mr. Hurley also worked as a criminal defense attorney for over twenty years where he handled misdemeanors and felonies in three of the five boroughs in NYC. Mr. Hurley has also represented clients in commercial real estate and business matters. Mr. Hurley taught math and criminal law at Touro College and Medgar Evers College respectively. Mr. Hurley is the founder of the Crown Heights Community Council and serves on the board for the Brooklyn Community of Churches.
