Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I pleaded "no contest" to a "resisting arrest charge" in May of 2012. Now I have another court date for an "obstruction/resisting arrest charge", can the judge incarcerate me at the arraignment?

Your question does not supply some important information. Are you on probation from the previous conviction? Did you post bail this time?

Of course he can, by setting 'no bail' on the new charge and on the probation violation charge you also face. That is unlikely, but possible.

Each can result in jail time, so I suggest you hire counsel to help you. If serious about doing so, feel free to contact me.

I agree with Mr. Shapiro. You don't tell us what your sentence terms were for the first conviction.
