Legal Question in Administrative Law in India

Dear Sir,

I am from reserved category. My Name is Neeraj Kumar Valmiki. I have caste certificate from Govt. authorities. Sir If I want to change my Surname as "Singh" with Gazettes of Maharashtra with all Govt.s formal process will it affect my reservation for Govt. Exams reserved category. Please suggest and advice.

1) The caste certificate is issued based on ur family tree, the descendancy of ancestors, the place of living etc but not on the name. The reservation status is not affected by simple change in name.

2) Why do u want to change ur name. If the same surname or title is found in other castes, confusion may arise in the minds of officials when u claim certain concessions/ facilities by virtue of ur reservation which please think.
