Legal Question in Administrative Law in India

Sir,

I was arrested for consuming cannabis (ganja). I was released from court after paying Rs 5000. So I have a police case on me.

Now, I have been selected in Indian Overseas Bank and the joining process includes police verification.

So my question is that can I get rejected in the process.

have you pleaded guilty for the offence or is it still pending?? under what sections were you charged. if the police finds it out then you may have to explain yourself. did you mention about the offence in your application form??

Dear Sir / Madam,

No, your candidature is valid for the position. Payment of fine ordered by the Judge closes the case. But note that should you repeat the offense whilst on duty in the bank, be sure your services will be immediately terminated.
