Legal Question in Banking Law in India

I got dd from bank for education loan in 2010 but I not submit it to college.it was teared by myself.now bank asking me to pay that amount also....what I can do.

1) When u did not deposit the DD into the bank, why u had torn DD?

point 1) correction: .....deposit in College or to the bank.....

Dear Sir / Madam,

If you tore the DD, you did not avail of the loan. Simply close the educational loan account and pay the interest and charges incurred by the Bank.
