I want to know that self written dairy and letters such as post card&cover; etc are valid in civil dispute to prove the liability..?

Your question is quite hypothetical. What kind of Civil Suit, what kind of Liability, are your referring to has to be ascertained.

Where, the liability is statutory, i.e. when the statute has fixed a liability on any particular person, then such letters etc. cannot shift the liability.

However, such letters can certainly be useful, in cases of contract, agreement, family matters, or prove conduct of parties, for corroboration of any particular facts, as estoppel against a persion, as admission and acknowledgment made by a party, and etc.

Remember, every such correspondence is a PIECE OF EVIDENCE in the eye of law, whose evidentary value would depend upon the facts of each case.
