Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in India
HI..
My grand father had may lands. but due to illness he suddenly died when my dad was kid. So we dont know about the particulars of the lands. Now we came to know that some land is my grandfathers. How to acquire it. we dont have any records. And we are being threatened and stopped to take records by the people enjoying the wealth.

you will still have to collect record and ascertain the position of the property.but if you have been sleeping over your rights the person in possession gets the rights by way of adverse possession. If the property is with your family you can ask for partition.
