Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I had a ABN Amro Credit Card. In December 2008, I cleared all the outstanding amount with interest (25,000 limit, I paid Rs. 27,000appx.). I asked the bank whether any further dues were pending. I received a mail that 'NIL' amount was pending.

Then in April 2009, I received a statement showing some 2700 amount outstanding. when I enquired about it, because I had not made any transaction after Dec 08, I was told that on rechecking, some payment of September 2007 was shown as pending. I resisted saying once on bank's inquiry i have cleared all the amount, I am not liable to pay the mistake of the bank. Their recovery agents are still harassing me after six years. Pl advise

Dear Sir / Madam,

Simply forward your captioned mail which you have as proof that there are no outstanding dues on your Credit Card to the Bank and mark a CC to all those who are harassing you to pay up the amount.
