Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

I have failed to pay my Citibank credit card bill, its been 6 months now and I have received an E-mail from the bank stating legal actions will be taken and recovery will be done, please let me know about the possible consequences

Dear Sir / Madam,

If the Bank has now "woken up" and they are pursuing their recoveries, it is advisable and recommended to negotiate, pay off and settle your credit card dues with the Bank.
