Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

My friend borrowed a sum of 1 laks and 50 thousand by signing on promissory notes and given two empty cheqs. On the promissory note there is no time limit to pay the amount and no signatures of witness. Now he is neglecting to pay my money back. what type of action I can take?
