Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in India

Sir, I just received a call from a lady in a Debt Collection center, saying that I had pending amounts against my credit card which was active till 1978 or thereabouts. She demanded Rs. 80 laks as pending. I told her that I never had any card or dealing with this bank since 1978, that I had closed all credit cards accounts with all banks. She threatened me. 1) First call for statement of a/c and verify the veracity of the caller.

2) Lodge FIR with the police if the caller claim is false.

3) Also issue legal notice to the Bank how 1978 outstanding is now

claimed to recover.

4) Engage a local banking law experienced lawyer and act suitably.

Dear Sir / Madam,

You should take up the matter and resolve it directly with the concerned Bank. Tell the lady if she calls up again and again you will report the matter to the Police.
