Legal Question in Family Law in India

We are two brothers and two sisters. When our father died, the lands that were in his name were transferred to our eldest brother's name, as our mother was not literate and the other children were minor, and the eldest brother promised to look after the welfare, education of the minor children. This he did with honor.

Later he had two children of his own.

Now, my eldest brother is dead, intestate, and we are in a quandary as to how to divide the property .

We are Hindus.

Can anyone help and we need to know how to proceed without going through courts, none is interested in a legal wrangle, and all are agreeable to a fair settlement.

Thanks
