Legal Question in Family Law in India

I am a Christian girl & am in love with a Hindu guy from past 6 years and we are both are major. My parents are completely not agreeing to this. I tried a lot to convince them but they are not at all accepting the guy. And a month back I got engaged to the guy of my parents choice. But I want to get married only to my BF we both have decided to get court marriage.

As my BF is a government servant my parents are threatening that they will kill him, remove him from the job, lodge complaint against his parents,,,,,, all such things. So, I want to know the precautionary steps which I can take in order to avoid the legal problems in getting married to my BF.

Please disparately I need ur advice.

If you are both majors, then the parents cannot stop you from getting married. You may give notice to intended marriage as required for Court marriage and simultaneously make a written application to the Police expressing your fears and seeking protection.
