Legal Question in Family Law in India

Hello,

I married 1.5 yrs ago, after marriage I went to South Africa to live with my husband.

We had a long distance relationship bfore marriage, so after marriage my husband came out a complete different person to me.

He claimed his parents has done domestic violence on him in his childhood. His elder and younger sisters were made treated as his daughter to him, but contrary to this he always supported his parents and sisters whenever there occurred any argument between his family and me.

My husband never supported me, respected me in front of any one. Even he disclosed our sexual life to his family.

Their is no privacy or secure feeling which i felt in this marriage. His parents always said to me " You are a girl, as marriage has happened now nothing can help you in this society to get you out from this marriage, so whatever we do u have silently accept it.

Even my basic needs were not met in this period of time. On every fight my husband calls my mother and screams at her claiming that she doesn't want us to live happily.

Our sex life wasn't ever great as he use to claim that he is masturbating since his childhood so he doesn't enjoys the natural one.

Before 2 months I have stepped out of this marriage, have started working and looking forward for a legal separation. He threatens me that he wont give a divorce ever so that I can rethink of having a normal life again & he can go to sex market and find a solution to his physical urges. I dnt have any financial support, its only what I am currently earning.

Is their any solution as mutual consent I dnt think he will agree and contested divorce will take years to come to a solution.

I am not able to make out whether you still staying in South Africa or in India? As you both were married in India, you can file a petition for divorce in India and serve him summons. you have a number of remedies here in India.
