Legal Question in Family Law in Bangladesh

Hi,i am firoz.my sister in law has a boy baby of two year's and her husband failed to give the expense since the baby was not born . she is with us then . we filed a case at family court for expense . what should we do next for child custody . what should we do when the boy will be 7+ for guardianship . can we adopt /take legal gurdianship after 7+.

According to our law the boy will stay with his mother till he attains age of seven. If the husband force your sister-in-law and try to take the boy away from her then you should file a suit for the custody of the boy. When the boy come to the age of 7 or more and it seems that his father is unfit/incompetent for the upbringing of the boy then at that point you might think of filing a suit for custody.

I don't understand how adoption or guardianship comes in here, as long as the father or mother of the child is alive he/she will be the legal guardian of the child.
