Legal Question in Family Law in India

I m a Hindu boy married to a Christian girl in church and in Hindu tradition without convertion. Neither I got converted to Christianity nor my wife converted to Hinduism. As per Hindu marriage act it is not valid. Since I m married in church , is it a valid marriage ?? We have not registered our marriage as per special marriage act. It's only religious marriage we did church marriage and Hindu traditional way. Please advise if it is a valid marriage or not. We got married in 2012 however wife hardly stays at my house
