Legal Question in Family Law in India

I and my partner both are inidan citizen. Now my partner is in canada and we want to court marriage.can we get marriage when he is not in india?? I have all documents of him and perents is also here.

1) Place of marriage: Either office of Marriage officer or any other place within a reasonable distance.

2) Form of marriage: Any form as the parties to the marriage choose but each party in presence of Marriage officer will have to say:

�I (party�s name) take the (other party�s name), to be my lawful wife (or husband)�

3) How can the marriage take place without the presence of the second person, the basic underlying concept is vitiated ? What is the reason behind the other person to remain absent?

No the marriage cannot take place when the partner is in canada and you in India.
