Legal Question in Family Law in India

I would like to separate from my husband as he is not behaving like a human being at all. Many are suggesting to file a complaint in the womens police station instead of approaching the lawyer but I am scared to go the police station. Also all are suggesting that the result would take too long time if i go thru a lawyer instead via police station would be better to approach. Please suggest. Also, he is staying with me now. If i give a complaint and he receives a call from the police then i am so scared on that day night as how he react at home. If he comes and beat me what should the precautionary measure I need to do to avoid this situation. Also, is there any possibility to live separately without a divorce and is it safe? If I divorce then he will marry one more girl. Already this is second marriage for him. I dont want to give him a chance to marry again.

Dear client first live separate from him then file police complaint. If u donot want to give divorce then file police complaint under sec 498 a and domestic violence case only. For proper discussion call me on 9422611385 or 8446247807
