A widow 78 yrs old lost her only son. She draws two pensions and has a flat on her name. Her son has wife and two daughters. Is the widow eligible for share in her sons properties?

Yes, Mother is a Class I heir of the deceased SON as per Hindu Succession Act. So she is entitled to have her share in the property of her son, coextensive with the wife / sons / daughter of deceased son.
