Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

We have few property in thiruppattur tamil nadu.It's our ancestral property from my great grandfather.I'm a fourth generation for this property.The property is in my great grandfather name since then but now it was transfered to my cousin name.But he is a fifth generation to claim for this property.As inform by our relative in the villages there we come to know that he changed it to his name by giving false information to the VO office or maybe he changed the property illegally to his name.Please help me explain what I should do regarding this matter.I'm having all documents related to my father as well.

First file partition suit. The mutation then will be automatic as per court order.
