does an employer have the right to expect you to work overtime,for single pay.plus pay single time for bank holidays.

Dear Sir / Madam,
Yes, the employer has the right to ask you to work overtime after the normal eight hours duty shift is over. For each extra hour worked after normal working hours, the employer is supposed to pay you one hour's salary extra.
