Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I was recently offered a Job by a Investment Bank.

As part of Employment Verification the agency approached my past employer Satyam (now Tech Mahindra) for confirming my past employment.

In fact when I quit Satyam in 2004 (was based in the UK) I took them to UK Employment Tribunal where I won the case in 2007 and was awarded compensation.

However now Satyam is decling to provide correct Employment details to the Back ground Check agency and despite my requests by email even after taking 6 weeks they are refusing to cooperate and provide my correct Employment details.

The company that made the Job offer has withdrawn the offer now.

Kindly advice how I can seek compensation from Satyam for los of Job offer.

Dear Sir / Madam,

Your priority should be to focus on fetching yourself another job at the earliest, rather than waste your precious time and money fighting futile compensation claim legal battles against Satyam. You may have already provided documentary evidence of your having worked in Satyam to the Investment Bank personnel interviewing you, which they ought to have relied upon, and selected you for the post. If they are not able to judge your ability, capability, potential and your true value to them during the round of interview(s) and decide whether you are the right person for the job; but are instead too finicky on checking back and verifying on your past references, you are in the wrong place. And, never ever mention that you won a compensation claim against your employer during any job interviews.
