Legal Question in Employment Law in India

I work in IT sector in Mumbai, India. I was terminated from my company on 27th march 2014 which is last day of march. My question is, according to Indian labour law, I read that, if an employee is terminated with immediate effect, the company has to give him one month full salary. However, my company has given me only one month's salary. I am confused whether should I get only March's salary or March+April salary in full and final settlement? would anyone be able to help me out here ?

Dear Sir / Madam,

If the notice period stated in your Appointment Letter is one month and the Company has terminated your services, the Company has to pay you one month's salary on termination. Likewise, if the notice period in your Appointment Letter is two or three months, the Company has to pay you two or three month's salary on your termination.

Regards,
