we have been living here in house for 7 years..the landlord didnot make a tenancy agreemant nor us gave any importance to it..even no decision was taken about the increment in the rent.... but she ,the landlord increased the rent after 3 years...from 6500 to 7500 then after an year increased 7500 to 9000 and now after 2 years saying to increase 25% ...there is no written agreement nd even we are saying to increase it on the same time but she is denying about the months,.. our month to increase the rent was august but she is saying to increase in july and is not accepting the rent.... somedays ago came and gave us notice to vaccant it

dear landlord is entitled to increase rent after 3 years 25% to 30 % .
or after every 1 year only 10 % .
so if wants to vacate rrquired to file rent petetion .
and u have to contest.

you can file a case in civil court and get a stay order in your favour. Alongwith that if she goes to the rent controller then you have to contest the petition and you have a strong case to get it dismissed.
