Dear Sir / Madam,

If the title of the ancestral land was in the name of your father, it was well within his right to sell it when he was alive. After having already sold it, you have no locus standi now to request the Revenue Officer to register your ownership of the land, simply because when your deceased father has ceased to be the Owner, you being his son / daughter do not get any legal rights to revert the sale.

Your Agreeing or Disagreeing to the Sale Deed has no concern with the transaction which was lawfully carried out during the life time of your father. If you think, that sale deed was fradulent or without any authority, you can file a suit for cancellation of the sale deed and declaration of ownership of your right, subject to proof of your case. Also since the land was sold in 1992 and we are in 2013, what were you doing since 21 years? Your suit will be clearly hit my limitation act, and will be dismissed. Also revenue authorities have no jurisdiction to declare your ownership or to disregard a valid executed sale deed.
