Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

We have recently sold an ancestral property in kerala. It was passed on to my father and aunt after the death of my grandfather, who brought it from his brothers after getting their power of attorneys in 1989. We cleared all the requests relating to the documents and also gave an advertisement in the paper to know if we anyone had objection in selling the property. Now 3 months after selling the property and having changed the title in the name of the buyer. He has recently come up with a issue stating that one of my grandfathers brother who had share in the property has given a unregistered power of attorney in 1969. The title of property was in my father and aunts name when it was sold. Since its been almost 45 years ie) unregistered power of attorney document happened and there has been no objection from anyone till now. We have adverse possession over the property. The buyer is now facing some obstacle when trying to sell it to someone else and is telling we have to pay some fine to court and all. Since the title is in his name now and having cleared all his requests before the sale.. are we entitled to pay any fine for this. When we asked the buyer to explain, he is not giving a clear explanation. Kindly suggest what is to be done
