Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago

My brother died and did not leave a will he own a car but he did not get it transfer in his name he had over $40,000 in jewelry which he pound to help with medical bills low and be hole his girlfriend at the time took the car got it transfer in her name went into the pound shop clamming to be his common law wife and took out the jewelry they never lived together he has 3 children none of them is with her.
