Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Trinidad and Tobago

My mother died and left a will.

The executor whom had a share in the estate died. I am one of the remaining share holder in the will.

Can I apply for letters of administration of that estate, my brother lives in Canada and want no part of it. I've been paying taxes and other expenses since 1985 and I live on the estate. What can I do.

Any beneficiary can apply for Letters of Administration WITH WILL ANNEXED (consent of the other beneficiaries may be needed) You will be able to administer the WILL instead of the named executor (now deceased). The estate MUST be distributed according to the WILL
