Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Alabama

I hope you can help...

my sister's house was foreclosed on but she didn't know it until she received a complaint filed in court for eviction and an order that she had lost the right of redemption.. She spoke with an attorney but it would cost $5000 to $10,000 for him to fight it.

long story short ... I told her I would file an answer and try to get the right of redemption, so she signed a POA and a quitclaim deed subject to the foreclosure sale and deed - this is my mama and daddy's house and they are both deceased. The house never had a mortgage, it was given to her outright, but she got a mortgage and the house was sold on the courthouse steps. She has another 2 acres next to it that are free and clear -

I have prepared a cross-complaint and will file it this week, but my question is this:

is there a problem with me having POA? and if there is, should I file the quit claim deed and file a complaint on my own to get the foreclosure set aside?

thanks

Without a license to practice law, you cannot represent someone in a court of law, other than yourself. I would be glad to speak with you regarding the next step that should be taken to set aside the foreclosure. We are involved with numerous foreclosure defenses and cross claims across Alabama.
