Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alabama

i have a travel trailer that someone wanted to buy from me and they were to make payments on it, they are five months behind and will not pay. i have ask that they return my property to me. they will not return my calls and i don't know where my trailer is located.. what are my legal rights?

Did you execute a promissory note with a security agreement? If you did, it will be a lot easier to sue this person to get your money. Your next step is to sue this person. How much does he or she owe you? You can sue on the small claims docket in Dstrict Court if the amount owed is $3000 or less. If the amount owed is less that $10,000 you will sue in District Court. If the amount is more than $10,000 you will sue in Circuit Court. You must not simply decide to go get the trailer. You must follow the legal process. I suggest you get an attorney to do this, if you can find the person and if he has any property that you can use to collect on any potential judgment.
