bad crdit and marriage

I have bad credit. My fiance has excellent credit. When we get married will my bad credit effect him? If so, How do I prevent it?

Re: bad crdit and marriage

No it should not unless you are on each other's credit cards or loans.

Here is an article that discusses if you are responsible for each other's debts.

Keep in mind that often the credit reporting agencies will not keep your credit reports accurate - they often mix up information between spouses. Pull your credit reports and then dispute any false information.
