Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Child Custody Switch

My son, age 16, wants to live with his Father so that he can attend a better school. The school he wants to attend says that because I have full custody, my son will have to attend the school where I live. What are my sons rights? Do I have to give up full custody so that my son can live with his dad and attend another school?
