step-parent adopting widowers children

I have been remarried now for little over a year. I was widowed 2 1/2 years ago and I have 2 minor sons. When we go through the adoption process, would my late husbands family have to be notified or not?

Only you as the surviving parent will be involved in the adoption process. Your in-laws will not be notified at all by the court of the adoption process.
