Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Vistation for non-custodial partner

My son got his fiance pregnant before marriage and then she changed her mind about marrying him. He started paying child support before the baby was born and has continued to date. When the baby was born, she gave his name as the father of the child. They have never gone to court during all of this because she was allowing my son to visit but now is not letting him have any time at all since October of this year.

She keeps saying that she is having him served with papers. What kind of papers can she be talking about? Should we take her to court first to obtain his rights? And is it true that Alabama law says that he can only see the baby every other weekend for 3 hours? That doesn't seem like a enough time for baby to bond with him.

Also, at what age can my son go and get him and bring him here to Florida? At what age can he keep him overnight in Alabama? Right now she is refusing to let us (grandparents) see him at all. She is wanting him to just send the money and stay out of their lives. Can she have her cake and eat it too?
