Legal Question in Technology Law in Arizona

E-Mail Blockage from Previous Employer

I resigned from my employer Jan 21/05. When I joined my current employer I learned my previous employer blocked e's sent from me so I couldn't reach any of my contacts. I'm in sales so these contacts are important to me. I never signed a non-compete agreement w/my previous employer, so I am curious to learn if they legally can block my e's. And, if they cannot, is it worth considering a lawsuit against them? They are a major corporation.

Re: E-Mail Blockage from Previous Employer

Q:Was the e-mail address part of your prior employer's ISP account?

Why not locate a new e-mail account?

Does your employer have a policy re: contacting employees after termination?

All of the above affect the answers to your question.
