Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona

property management company not forwarding $ collected.

The company that is managing my rental house in Gilbert, AZ has not mailed a monthly rental statement, nor any rental income (that they HAVE collected) for going on three months now. They have done this several times in the past with multiple excuses/appologies, but never for this long. They don't return my calls or messages. I haven't gone to the their office because I live out of state. How can I collect the money that is due me. I think maybe just a phone call or letter from an attorney would move me to the top of their priority list.

I'm looking for another management company now, but I'm afraid if I have another company in the area contact them before I collect, then my chances of collecting will decrease. What would you do to optimize collection if you were in my position?

Thanks, this is a starting place for me. I'd appreciate any advice given.

The first thing I would do is fire them, and hire a new property manager.

Then, yes, a letter from an attorney might help collect the money, but you may end up having to sue them in Arizona.
