Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Arizona

I was served with a summons from an attorney of a debt buyer for an old credit card debt. I filed an answer right away. Now the attorney has filed for "Motion for Judgment on the Pleadings". Question: Do I have to file a response to this? I don't want a judgment against me without the opportunity to explain my situation.

Yes, you will need to file a response to the motion. If you fail to file a response, the Judge will more than likely grant the motion, thus entering a judgment against you.
