Legal Question in DUI Law in Arizona

Will a suspended drivers license in Arizona mean a suspended license in Oregon

My son was driving a vehicle while under the influence of one beer - this was in Arizona 6 days before our family relocated to Oregon. We moved to Oregon and he called the court to ask if he could take care of his fines etc. here in Oregon instead of flying back to Arizona. He works in the family business and we needed him here. They told him to plead guilty and he was fined and he paid the fine. In the interm he went and got an Oregon drivers license. A few months later he received a letter from ADOT saying that his license was suspended in Arizona. He called ADOT and they said that it would be suspended in all 50 states; he would not be allowed to get a special permit to drive to work. He needs to commute to work - what can he do? We called ODOT and his license is not suspended in Oregon at this time. Please advise.

Thank you -

Re: Will a suspended drivers license in Arizona mean a suspended license in Oreg

Oregon is on a list that exchanges information with other states regarding suspended drivers license. If OR finds out about crime or suspension in AZ then they will suspend in OR.
