Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

After a divorce or legal sep is there a time limit on the division of a pension plan. My lawyer says 3 years.

No. Although I would need more information. Was this pension plan or any retirement plan belonging to either spouse addressed in the divorce decree? If not, this will be harder to get established. If so, then all you need is a QDRO (Qualified Domestic Relations Order) to divide up the funds legally so that the plan administrator can disburse funds to the non-employee spouse.
