Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

Bike/Auto accident

My husband is being sued for hitting a boy riding a bike while driving a truck from work. It was not his fault. The boy actually crashed into him. He was not speeding and was not cited by the police. Everyone at the scene, including the boy, agreed that it was the boy's fault. Now, two years later, they are suing us for $30,000. Their lawyer has sent us letters accusing my husband of negligent driving and minimizing the boy's injuries, neither of which are true. If they win, they will clean out our hard-earned savings account and leave us broke. What are the chances they would win? Will we have to pay or will my husband's work's insurance pay? Is there anything we can do to stop these people?
