Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

manufactured home

we bought a manufactured home in a park. We are having all kinds of problems. The lights flicker and had the electric company out and cant find whats wrong. We are thinking faulty wiring somewhere. Then the last people who owned the home switched out the fridge for one that does not work. They also, switched out the dishwasher and just shoved one in there that is not even hooked up. There was leak under the kitchen sink and and it is wet under the kitchen tile and the subflooring needs repair. This is just a few things wrong. Is there anything we can do about this there was no power on when we came to look at the place so we didnt know none of this stuff was broken...My husband and I live off of his social security checks and cannot afford to get these things repaired ... any info would be appreciated.

Re: manufactured home

Purchase of a manufactured home is not a "real estate" question. Please re-submit under consumer law.

Buying a mobile home is similar to buying a car, it is personal property. Did you have a written contract? Are warranties stated? Was there an inspection? Are the sellers people who are judgment proof if a suit was filed (in other words, are they insolvent)? I believe that a consumer law attorney would need to look at your written contract or the paperwork to see what your rights are. There may be laws protecting you in the purchase of a mobile home I am not familiar with.

Good luck.
