Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arkansas

brother-in-law attempting to control my land

My sister and I inherited some land from our father. The land is in both of our names. We have had it since 1982. Now my sister has married and her husband is trying to sell the timber off of the land. He has also hired a surveyor and informed me that I must pay 1/2 of the surveyor's cost. I told my sister that he had no say so in our land and she told me that it was as much his land as it was mine. He is also allowing people to hunt on the land without my permission. He contacted a man to cut the timber and they were going to give me 1/2 of the profit, however, I found out that they were going to rob me blind. I managed to put off cutting any timber for now. I don't much money and this land is all that I really have. It means a lot to me. My grandfather was born and died on this land. I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thank you very much.
