Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arkansas

Grandmother died last month at 98 years of age. A 1993 will names her 6 children as heirs to"share & share alike". One of those sons has died. His widow was named as his sole heir in his will. Do his children and grandchildren have any claim on his share of Grandmother's estate or does his share pass only to his widow?

There are several variables at work here, so it's tough to give you a firm answer. The disposition of the son's share will depend on the terms of his will (provided he had one) and how long he and his widow had been married. If you're concerned about preserving the children's and grandchildren's potential rights to the grandmother's estate, I recommend you contact an attorney.
