Legal Question in Administrative Law in California

Do I need a lawyer to surrender my pharmacy technician license in the state of California? It was placed on probation and I cannot afford to pay all the fees associated with it anymore. Will surrendering it keep me from being able to obtain any other type of license (Medical Billing and Coding) in the state of California?

Questions like this can usually be addressed to the licensing board, on line. That'd give you your best answer. I'd say that merely surrendering your license would not, in itself, impair your eligibility for another kind of license -- however, surrendering your license under a cloud of pending or on-going discipline probably will affect your eligibility, not because of the act of surrender itself, but because the subject-matter of the discipline may affect your qualifications for the new license. Ask the licensing agency for their conditions and requirements.
