Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in California

How to obtain Abstract of Judgment

How can an abstract of judgment be obtained so that it could be filed with the Department of Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk in order to create possible liens against judgment debtor?

Is there a form and if so how could that form be obtained?

Thank you.

Fill out the form completely and take it to the court clerk with the applicable fee. Bring a self addressed stamped envelope.

Read "Collect Your Judgment," it's in the courthouse law library or you can purchase a copy from Nolo Press.
