Statement of decision

Statement of decision in the writ of mandate hearing has to be request right after judge anounced decision or can be request within 10 , or either one?

Re: Statement of decision

If a superior court trial concluded within one calendar day, or in less than eight hours over more than one day, the request must be prior to submission for decision. Otherwise, within ten days after the court announces its tentative decision.
