Status of defendant while awaiting answer on appeal?
If someone has been tried by a jury for misdemeanor charges in criminal court and has filed an appeal and posted their bail, are the charges considered convictions or allegations pending the outcome of the appeal?

They are convictions unless and until they are reversed on appeal.
