Contract question

I am a personal concierge, dealing with private parties & corporations. What do you suggest I use as a (CALIF) contract to protect myself & my clients?

You should have an attorney draft a contract specific to your business.

Re: Contract question

The business is too specialized for there to be any pre-written contract that wouldn't cause your sophisticated clients to laugh or to scratch their heads in bewilderment. You should find a business attorney and submit to an interview so he/she can learn all about what you do, then write a contract that, with the help of a few well-placed fillable blanks, will cover the agreement to provide services, the promise to pay you for the services, and the necessary waivers and disclaimers. A well-written and profession-specific contract will make you look more reliable and professional and can be your best piece of advertising.

Re: Contract question

I suggest you use a contract properly tailored for your business that thoroughly defines and covers the liabilities, rights and responsibilities of all parties. There is no such thing as a 'free form' that is going to do you the slightest good. The goal is to minimize the risk of lawsuit, the risk of loss in any lawsuit, and avoid the substantial fees and costs of such lawsuit. A little money now will look like a really good investment later when some really unpleasant claims happen. Feel free to contact me if serious about doing this right.
