Legal Question in Business Law in California

Am I entitled to anything?

A developer down the street has been working on his building. I feel it is infringing on my business. Now he has to have the front of my shop all ripped up due to a pipe that needs to run to his building. There are tractors and heavy equipment everyewhere. It blocks my business and I am losing out!!! Is there anything I can do?

Re: Am I entitled to anything?

See a local attorney and sue them. Claims like yours are the reason they bought liability insurance.

Yes, he is creating a nuisance. You can sue for damages for the loss of business that you can prove. Perhaps you can ask that business to make reasonable accomidations to assist your business to impact it the least.

Can customers get in at all? Can you prove how much you have lost?
