Legal Question in Business Law in California

Partnership

I took a partner (a family friend) about 3 years ago to handle the books while I do the work. We incorporated. Some checks had started to bounce. I just learned he had not paid payroll taxes that whole time. He had not paid employees for 6 months and had not paid suppliers for building materials. In the beginning, he had invested some money into the business and was taking out, but he said the laptop was stolen with all the business info. I am left paying for these things, and trying to keep my drywall contractor's license, with a complaint filed against it.

Re: Partnership

Sounds like you might have to file a lawsuit against your former partner for conversion, accounting, fraud. Depending on the value of the claim, you probably will have to file in Superior Court in your county. Please let me know if I might be of assistance.
